I've noticed though, that it is really gear dependent. A haste stacking shaman with almost all i245 gear will never go OOMAituairhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02511372149206427274noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3763042062846412208.post-33959430447828930262009-10-29T04:04:30.209-07:002009-10-29T04:04:30.209-07:00"the versatility of the restoration shaman, a..."the versatility of the restoration shaman, and all have their merit(except haste stacker's without Mp5 trinkets, faster spells means "SHIT no mana!" comes sooner)."<br /><br />This is also a common misconception that haste stacking causes mana issues, just because you can cast faster doesn't mean you have to keep spamming until you goo OOM then go "oh shit". Let me put it to you this way say your mana pool can handle you casting 20 HW's before going oom, that is what you can cast 20 then your oom, now it does not matter if it takes you 1min to cast the 20 or 40s to cast the 20, your mana pool can still only handle 20. Ok napkin math there just to illustrate that haste makes you cast faster but you still can only cast so much, careful use of mana tide, mana pot, should not see you go oom anyway unless you also missing replenish in the raid. Haste is nice, and getting the heals out faster can prevent deaths, yes sure because you get em out faster you will want to cast more than needed and that is what makes the oom part a factor, stick to you healing assignment just cause you cast so fast and can help out on other places on healing don't mean you have to. I am a haste stacker and mana is never an issue unless me lack replenish and even then when I play the cd's right, I still end the fights with mana.Narfolixhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03081964453873563379noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3763042062846412208.post-37538771857971936032009-10-29T00:17:04.484-07:002009-10-29T00:17:04.484-07:00I would never under estimate the value the crit ca...I would never under estimate the value the crit can provide for us. I would just not clasify it as a stat the is worth gemming for or anything. Now imho if you open ur char sheet and your crit is on 30% that is more than enough to aim for, from a lot of reading up it seems there are numerous shamans that found when they started stacking haste, that there is not that big noticeable when the lost around 2-3% crit, as long as you keep it above 30 though that is always my aim also. But ye cirts does wonders for us atm, but you would either want to stack int or haste, we dont scale all that well with spell power(trust me we don't) so don't go stacking up on that. So then crit, sure when stacking +int the crit will come, but I will never recommend slapping a +crit gem in your gear ever. There is just so many other options that are better atm. Yes it does come down to play style, and if you will be tank or raid healing. I still stick to my story with enough haste any fight becomes a shammy fight.Narfolixhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03081964453873563379noreply@blogger.com
